Google's Android platform has been a popular sell for developers, even if it plays in the shadow of Apple's iPhone platform, whose App Store boasts an impressive 185,000 applications. While many geeks praise Android for being the open-source alternative to Apple's tightly controlled iPhone, there are several concerns about platform fragmentation.
