On the first day of the 2010 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, handset makers such as Acer, Sony Ericsson and Motorola released a slew of smartphones packed with features such as touch screens, Wi-Fi connectivity and slick operating systems with an emphasis on multimedia capability and enhanced social networking features like one-touch connectivity to sites like Facebook and Twitter. Open-source operating systems also played a big role, with Samsung, Sony Ericsson and Motorola rolling out open systems. Here's a look at the latest devices making their debut at MWC.
