Enterprise Mobility: Motorola Droid 4, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Gadgets Top Best of CES List
The 2012 Consumer Electronics Show has drawn to a close, with the 100,000-plus attendees flying home from Las Vegas no doubt exhausted, but well-informed about the latest and greatest mobile and consumer products that are in the pipeline for the year. Heading into this show, analysts predicted the theme would be one of ultrabooks. While eWEEK certainly saw its fair share of those, including Acer's Aspire S5, HP's Envy 14 Spectre and Samsung's Series 5 machines, the show was packed with new smartphones and tablets-just like last year. Some standouts include the Motorola Droid 4 and Droid Razr Maxx, the Toshiba 7.7-inch prototype tablet and Huawei's Ascend PS 1 smartphone, the thinnest smartphone on the market. Qualcomm also made a strong showing with its Snapdragon S4 chipset, which we saw powering both Microsoft's Windows 8 "Metro" OS and Google's Android operating system. Smart TV stuff was also all the rage at CES. Check out this editor's favorite products from the show.
