The company's Bluetooth-equipped, long-range scanners can be updated from a central location.

Motorola has released a pair of cordless Bluetooth scanners capable of reading tags from as far as 45 feet away. The LS3578-FZ scanner reads damaged and dirty bar codes typically found in warehouses and manufacturing environments. The LS3578-ER scanner can read bar codes as close as four inches and as far away as 45 feet. Both the LS3578-ER and LS3578-FZ are sealed to IP65 specifications against water and dust and include open Bluetooth technology for integration with other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
Both scanners also use Remote Scanner Management technology, which enables users to locate scanners and push several application updates from a central remote location.
