The tablet space is poised for a heated battle in 2011 between Apple and, well, every other company. The space is going to be inundated with tablets from Acer, LG, HP, Research In Motion, Samsung and many others. There is even speculation that Apple will be launching an updated version of its iPad at some point in the coming months. Simply put, the tablet space is going to be crowded. But as all the tablets hit store shelves, there will likely only be one device that will be a top competitor to Apple's iPad in the minds of consumers: the Motorola Xoom. The device, which was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, is expected to deliver an outstanding combination of hardware and software that could put the iPad on the back burner for some customers. Best of all, it shouldn't be too much longer before it's made available.
