Is there any doubt that you should know about the iPhone 4S? Apple sold more than 37 million iPhones during the fourth quarter, making it the most popular smartphone in the world. And until the iPhone 5 launches, it probably won't lose that title.
The beginning of any year is typically dominated by mobile product news. The onslaught starts at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, when companies descend on Las Vegas and show off their new creations. From there, the rumor mill cranks up and starts wondering what Apple might show off in its new iPad and iPhone. By the time February rolls around, Barcelona is abuzz with the Mobile World Congress, an industry confab that's home to some of the biggest mobile product launches of the year. When March finally arrives, those who follow the mobile market are exhausted. This year is no different. From some of the best products that were launched last year to new arrivals this year, 2012 is shaping up to be quite exciting for those who want to buy some new smartphones or tablets.
