Beginning in September, the Wi-Fi Alliance expects to certify 802.11 wireless products for standards of quality of service.
The Wi-Fi Alliance is expected to begin certification testing on 802.11e products in September. The standard is expected to be ratified by the IEEE later this year. 802.11e establishes quality of service (QoS) standards and is expected to pave the way for the development of video and voice-over-IP applications for wireless networks.
