Qualcomm is suing Nokia for alleged patent infringement in the United States.

Qualcomm last week sued Nokia for alleged patent infringement in the United States, a week after Nokia joined several other companies in accusing Qualcomm of unfair business practices in Europe.

Qualcomm charged that Nokia cell phones infringe on 11 Qualcomm patents related to GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) networks.

In the suit, Qualcomm demanded that Nokia stop selling GSM-based cell phones in the United States.
