Enterprise Mobility: Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone Makes Debut
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S smartphone June 29. The Galaxy S emphasizes multimedia capabilities, with a Super AMOLED screen and 1GHz processor powering everything from games and streaming movies to HD video. Samsung also touts the smartphone's speed and the ultra-clarity of its display. Unlike the Apple iPhone or the Motorola Droid X, which have exclusive carrier contracts, various models of the Samsung Galaxy S are being offered on multiple carriers, under multiple names. On T-Mobile, it's the Samsung Vibrant; Verizon is marketing its version as the Samsung Fascinate; AT&T is offering up the Samsung Captivate; and Sprint will push the Samsung Epic 4G as the second 4G-capable smartphone on its network.
