Sprint launches a thin wireless device by Samsung that will come with an array of entertainment features.

Sprint Nextel, a company that offers consumers a wide range of wireless and wireline communications services, has launched its newest wireless device developed by Samsung Telecommunications America. Sprint and Samsung announced Nov. 27 that they have launched the Sprint Power Vision M610, a thin wireless phone that will allow customers to quickly access news, music and entertainment content.
"The M610 by Samsung embodies Sprints commitment to provide our customers with the best wireless devices that operate on the nations most powerful network," said Danny Bowman, vice president of product marketing and planning for Sprint, in a release.
The thin wireless device measures 3.98 by 2.05 by 0.47 inches and weighs 3.28 ounces. "The M610 packs premium imaging, music and memory capabilities into an ultra-slim, extremely portable package," said Dale Sohn, president of Samsung. The newest wireless device available from Sprint also includes a 2.0-megapixel camera, a Bluetooth-capable stereo, a speakerphone, advanced voice recognition and an external MicroSD memory card slot. The M610 will allow users to access the following content exclusively from Sprint:
  • Sprint TV: Features more than 50 channels of live television and on-demand video and audio;
  • Sprint Music Store: Will allow users to navigate and wirelessly download full-length songs to their mobile device;
  • NFL Mobile: Offers users same-day video highlights, statistics, scores, injury reports and other updated information right to the users mobile phone; and
  • Sprint Movies: The M610 will be able to stream full-length movies to the users mobile phone.
The M610 is now available online and is expected to be available in all retail channels on Dec. 3, for a suggested retail price of $329.99, or $179.99 with a two-year service agreement.
