PowerBook G4
PowerBook G4
Apples titanium-clad PowerBook G4 sets a new standard in design for all-in-one notebooks and will turn the heads of all Mac users. The G4s improved battery life and the convenience of a built-in DVD-ROM player are offset somewhat by the lack of a port for an external microphone. The slim design, although attractive, makes adding an Airport wireless card more difficult than it should be.
SHORT-TERM BUSINESS IMPACT // The PowerBook G4 delivers better performance for the same price as G3-based models.
LONG-TERM BUSINESS IMPACT // Due to its all-in-one design, the PowerBook G4 will age gracefully and be able to run Apples latest operating system, Mac OS X, quite well.
Sleek, elegant design; tough yet lightweight titanium outer shell; fastest PowerPC-based notebook.
Awkward Airport card installation; no port for external microphone.
