D Squared LLC. agreed to stop sending pop-up ads using the Messenger service in the Windows operating system. The company will also no longer sell ad-blocking software. In November, the FTC charged that D Squared had flooded consumers computers with pop-up ads as frequently as one every 10 minutes.
