Network Associates Unveils Linux Antivirus

LinuxShield scans for viruses, worms and other malicious code that can threaten Windows systems.

Network Associates Technology Inc. this week shipped antivirus software expressly designed for Linux servers. McAfee LinuxShield features automatic signature updates and can sniff out viruses within archived files. The software can detect and destroy Windows malware that passes through Linux servers, before they reach clients running Microsofts operating systems.
