U.S. senators urge FTC to investigate.

Officials of two trade associations representing several companies doing peer-to-peer file sharing this week said that they are cooperating with the FBI to crack down on child-pornography purveyors.

One group, P2P United, hopes to develop a system similar to the once-common placement of missing childrens pictures on milk cartons.

Five U.S. senators this week sent a letter to the FTC urging the agency to investigate P2P networks.
