AT&Ts latest Global Managed Internet Service will boast higher speeds, usage-based billing, Web-based reporting and the option for users to install and manage their own routers. The self-managing router option is targeted particularly at enterprises that want to operate their own virtual private networks over the Internet. Web-based reporting lets companies view graphical data of their usage patterns. For those with cyclical traffic needs, the new reporting capability together with a usage-based billing option gives added traffic management flexibility.
With the managed service, corporate users receive dedicated Internet connections. In Europe and Asia, connections are available at E3/34 Mbps or T3/45 Mbps.
