For the retail index, Keynote chose to include companies that had the highest visitor traffic, online revenues and consumer interest. The product used in the transaction represents a popular item that a customer would buy at each particular site. The index includes 16 companies that range from Amazon and Ebay to Wal-Mart, Nordstrom and LL Bean. For the online banking index, Keynote will include between 10 to 12 sites and use a similar selection criteria. Not all sites have been selected yet. While the retail index is available now, the banking index wont be available until June.
Keynote will also put together three bundles of performance management services targeted at retail and banking customers. The bundles are targeted at specific parts of the business.
The Keynote Competitive Edge bundle, aimed at marketing or line of business owners, includes Web Site Perspective, Transaction Perspective, vertical indices, transaction indices and Diagnostics on Demand. The Keynote Diagnostic Edge, intended for IT and operations people, includes Transaction Perspective measurements, Red Alert device monitors, a Private Transaction Agent for internal measurements, Enterprise Adapter for integration with enterprise management systems, Test Perspective Snapshots and Diagnostics on Demand. The Keynote Deployment Edge, intended for Web development and testing users, includes Test Perspective and WebIntegrity.
