Microsoft Gives the Green Light to Nvidia's Ion

Nividia's Ion platform is now certified by Microsoft and for the Windows Vista operating system. This means that PC vendors are likely to start offering "netbooks" and other mini-notebooks that use the Nvidia Ion platform soon. The Nvidia Ion platform uses the company's own graphics processor technology along with Intel's Atom processor.

Microsoft has cleared the way for new types of "netbooks" and other mini-notebooks based on Nvidia's Ion platform by certifying the graphic maker's technology for Windows Vista.
