What Would a Microsoft Store Look Like?

by Paul Connolly

One would assume the store would be easily accessible ...

... And the aisles would be an endless vista of Vista.

Of course, the store's main function may be to subtly make the public aware that Windows 7 is coming.

Like Apple's Genius Bar, Microsoft could have a resident expert to explain things ... like why you'd want a Zune.

Like Kmart's Blue Light Special sales, the Microsoft store could offer special Blue Screen of Death sales events.

In its never-ending quest to control your home, perhaps the Microsoft store will have an appliance section.

For the Microsoft Surface and other touch-screen technologies, the store should develop its own line of cleaning products.

Didn't get enough of the Gates and Seinfeld commercials? Maybe in-store exclusives, like a Bill & Jerry DVD set, would fill the void.

The store could make use of some old Microsoft icons. Say hello to Rollback Bob and Clippy the Sales Assistant.

And, if the economy continues to head south, we're sure Steve Ballmer could revamp the stores to survive a long downturn.
