Google's Nasdaq Stock Exchange Share Prices dropped to as low as 1 cent as the market closed Sept. 30. The Nasdaq Stock Market said it will cancel some of the late trades in Google. The Nasdaq Stock Exchange Market said the "erroneous orders" that caused the abrupt plunge "were triggered by orders routed from another exchange." Earlier, Nasdaq's surveillance arm said in a statement it was investigating "potentially erroneous transactions" in Google shares.

Developer Big In Japan shows off its new application for the Google Android smartphone, the G1, called ShopSavvy. ShopSavvy lets users comparison shop with their G1 by scanning a product's barcode with the phone's digital camera. ShopSavvy searches the Web for the best prices on the queried product, displaying the lowest online as well as nearby in-store prices (using GPS technology).

G1 features include on-device sensors, an application store, called Android Market, similar to the App Store on the Apple iPhone and embedded Google applications.
