The SQL Anywhere product is an entire suite of database applications and servers. It runs on many platforms, including Windows Mobile. Using Visual Studio, programmers can develop database applications that run on a Windows Mobile device.
The RightScale Platform, a configuration and management tool, makes it easier for developers to deploy and control servers and images on the Amazon EC2 cloud computing platform. Developers can take advantage of Amazon.com's powerful cloud computing infrastructure and manage it from their laptops.
Unlike rivals such as Amazon.com, Salesforce.com and Google, Etelos is offering developers a way to move their LAMP-based software to the cloud with little modification needed. Etelos also has services for helping developers sell, license and scale Web applications.
