Novell Adds Virtuozzo Virtualization to SLES
SWsoft, with Novell, has brought its Virtuozzo virtualization software to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server. (Linux-Watch)Novell and SWsoft have partnered to combine Novells SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 with SWSofts Virtuozzo virtualization software, to deliver an integrated virtualization server, SWSoft announced today. Novell has long used Xen virtualization in its SLES open platform. With this augmented version of SLES, uses will have the choice of using either Virtuozzo or Xen for their virtualization needs.
SWsoft itself has extended virtualization software to many operating systems, such as MacOS and Solaris. SWsofts Virtuozzo is built on the foundation of Linux-based OpenVZ virtualization software. OpenVZ is available for many Linux distributions such as Debian, Sun, and 64-bit Power architecture.
