It’s All About Simplicity in Design

To its credit, Peach puts social networking at the center of its user experience. The company’s app isn’t overrun with ads or other features, but makes it easy for users to quickly dive in and share information with others. Think of Peach as a simple-to-use app, like Twitter, that creates a quick and easy way to talk with friends and family.

It’s All About Simplicity in Communication

In addition to its simple design, Peach is also clearly focused on making it easy to communicate. The app is not designed to be a place where people will post long monologues about their day. Instead, it’s designed for a quick message that can be viewed in short order. Think of it as a Twitter- or texting-like service, rather than like a Tumblr microblogging platform and social media site. Image 2: Please use this image:

The Magic Word Is a Critical Feature

The Magic Word is critical to the experience of using Peach. Users can type things like “gif” or “shout” or “goodnight,” and the input field will automatically populate with one of those items. The idea is to help users quickly post “fun things” going on in their lives or around them. There are several Magic Words currently supported, and many more to come.

The Light Bulb Feature Is Interesting

The Light Bulb feature is an interesting concept. The idea is simple: Users who want to post something but don’t know where to start simply tap on the light bulb. From there, Peach will provide some recommendations on what the user could post. Peach promises “new ideas every day.”

Draw Some Stuff to ‘Doodle’ on the Screen

By using the Magic Word “draw” in Peach, users will be able to doodle or sketch something over to their friends. In that case, users will tap the “draw” button. Then, the app activates a feature that lets users slide their fingers around the screen to send off a simple sketch. It’s a feature not found in many other social networking apps, and one that could add a new dimension to communicating with friends.

    You Can Also Share Songs

The song feature in Peach is another way to engage users. The idea behind this one is similarly simple: Users tap the “song” Magic Word, and they can instantly share with friends the track they’re listening to. The recipient will then receive a link to Apple Music or Spotify to open the song in those apps.

Rate May Be Good or Bad

Peach also comes with a rating app. Rather than a simple “like” button in Facebook, users can rank postings on a scale of one to five. If something is really great, it may receive a “five” rating. Those things that are not so great will get a lower rating. Think of it as a more nuanced way to express an opinion on a post.

    Location-Based Information Is Also Critical

Another central feature in Peach is location-based information. In fact, Peach makes it easy to quickly tell others where you are and provide some commentary on that. In fact, in some ways, the feature is like Foursquare, the social network that initially began as a platform for meeting up with friends. Peach has taken that on and added it to far more features.

There’s a new social media app in town, and it comes with a simple name: Peach. The app, which has skyrocketed toward the top of the social networking applications in Apple’s App Store, gained notoriety by going viral via Twitter. Now, it’s one of the more popular social media apps available and is growing in users by the day. At its heart, the app is a cross between Twitter, Facebook and even social productivity app Slack. It includes some neat features like the ability to quickly share where the person is and what they’re thinking about, and is designed to make it as easy as possible to connect with those the user cares most about. Peach is not a replacement for Facebook or Twitter, but rather a complement. That alone gives it an opportunity to succeed where so many other up-and-coming social apps have failed. Therefore, in the following slides, we’ll talk about Peach, highlight some of its key features, and explain why it has become so popular so quickly. Read on to learn more.
