Oracle Corp. announced the release Wednesday of version 11.5.9 of its Oracle Sales application, with several new enhancements designed to help salespeople do their jobs more effectively.
Foremost among the enhancements is a new application called Oracle Proposals, which generates personalized sales proposals from templates. These proposals can then be tracked and monitored for effectiveness.
In addition, the Quoting tool gets a new user interface in this release so that sales reps can create and update quote lines within a single screen, displaying only the most important and useful information to them.
This release also supports tighter integration with Oracles Order Management applications, allowing reps to check customers credit histories during the quoting process. The Field Sales application also allows reps to register sales prospects for marketing events and delivers new sales opportunity reports.
The new version of Oracle Incentive Compensation in this release supports the paying of commissions on a transactional or aggregate basis and the personalization of compensation reports by individual reps.
Version 11.5.9 also supports offline access to quoting and other features. Oracle TeleSales has been enhanced in this release to provide a “universal work queue,” a single dashboard that tracks users outstanding tasks.
It also allows telesales reps to handle multiple customer interactions at once, track detailed information about customer interactions and make mass identical changes to many records at once, Oracle officials in Redwood Shores, Calif. said.
Tighter integration with Oracle Order Management in this release allows users to enter new orders directly from the Oracle TeleSales application.
The software is available now with suite and component pricing models.
The next version of the software, version 11.5.10, expected in nine months to a year, will add new capabilities for collaborative selling and partner relationship management, company officials said.
