TAMPA, Fla.—IBM aims to make Smarter Commerce even smarter with ExperienceOne, a portfolio of cloud-based and on-premise technology to help users provide deeper customer engagements by combining marketing, sales and services capabilities. At its Smarter Commerce Global Summit here, IBM announced ExperienceOne, which draws on innovation from IBM Research as well as investments in organic development and acquisitions such as Sterling Commerce, Tealeaf, Coremetrics, Unica, DemandTec, Xtify and, most recently, Silverpop. The new portfolio also taps into consulting, agency and system integration services from the IBM Interactive Experience practice, as well as the company's investment to open 10 IBM Interactive Experience labs to help clients deepen engagement through data-driven design. Built on best practices working with more than 8,000 organizations worldwide, ExperienceOne provides a set of predefined engagement technology, delivered with IBM consulting services and powered by its WebSphere Commerce, Customer Digital Experience and Enterprise Marketing Management software. eWEEK takes a look at the ExperienceOne announcement and other highlights of the conference.

For cloud computing, Aspera provides companies with the ability to transfer large files and data sets in, out and across cloud infrastructure so that it can be analyzed, processed and transformed anywhere, on-premise or in the cloud.
