The keyword "HTML5" is apt to be golden on the resumes of job hunters versed in the technology. According to employment site Indeed.com's latest job trends report, "HTML5" is the fastest growing keyword found in online job postings. No mere buzzwords, the top 10 job search keywords on Indeed.com reflect the most popular trends in the industry right now and are related to Web development, mobility, big data and the cloud. Employers are looking anywhere and everywhere for talented individuals who are versed in big data technologies such as Hadoop and MongoDB. They also are seeking programmers steeped in cloud development environments like the platform-as–a-service (PaaS) offerings that are prevalent on the market. Mobile development expertise also is in high demand, as evidenced by the continued need for iOS and Android developers. "Social media" rounded out the top 10 most popular job search keywords. The name MongoDB comes from the term "humongous" and is an open-source, cross-platform document-oriented database system. Classified as a "NoSQL" database, MongoDB eschews the traditional table-based relational database structure in favor of JSON-like documents with dynamic schemas, making the integration of data in certain types of applications easier and faster. 10gen, which created MongoDB and continues to develop and provide support for it, changed its company name to MongoDB on Aug. 27.

Puppet Labs, which developed and maintains the Puppet project, announced several new solutions at PuppetConf 2013 last week.
