ActiveState, which supports dynamic language app development from code to cloud, has announced the release of Komodo IDE 7.1, the latest version of its polyglot programming integrated development environment.
ActiveState announced Komodo 7.1 in conjunction with the OReilly Open Source Convention (OSCON) 2012 in Portland, Ore.
The Komodo IDE continues to push the development environment envelope, said Bart Copeland, CEO and president of ActiveState, in a statement. Komodo has long been a hallmark of efficient application development. With its seamless Stackato integration, Komodo 7.1 makes it easy for developers to innovate using the language thats right for their enterprise, and thenwith Stackatodeploy effortlessly to the cloud.
Komodo has always been fast, furious and user-friendly, Todd Whiteman, Komodo development lead at ActiveState, said, also in a statement. Komodo 7.1 stays true to that mantra. We are always implementing practical improvements, as well as supporting the latest language versions, like PHP 5.4, Node.js 0.8 and Ruby 1.9.3. And of course, were moving into a new generation of platforms, supporting Stackato as an enterprise-ready platform as a service.
