Integrated travel and expense management solutions specialist Concur announced the launch of the Concur App Center, an online marketplace for Concur clients and their employees. Through the Concur App Center, Web and mobile software developers can list applications that are integrated using Concur’s open platform.
Concur clients can find solutions that will automatically alert travelers if they require a visa based on their travel plans, or applications like Cegedim, which will offer integration from Concur solutions with their global OneKey physician database to help ensure compliance with international regulations for the life sciences industry.
In addition, users can link their Concur accounts with e-receipt providers and to apps like TripIt. Additionally, through Concur Open Booking, users will be able to link their accounts with travel suppliers like Avis so reservations made on the company’s Website flow automatically into Concur and TripItPro.
“Through the Concur T&E Cloud, our entire community can access and share information resulting in a better way to travel and to manage expenses,” Tim MacDonald, executive vice president of platform and data services at Concur, said in a statement. “The uptake of partner solutions from our client community exceeds our expectations. We’re thrilled with the platform adoption we’re seeing from customers, suppliers, partners and developers. More than 30 highly relevant partners already have their apps listed for our clients and their employees – a great start for what’s to come.”
Applications available through the App Center include platforms to help business travelers manage their travel needs, including TripLingo Business Class, which is designed to help travelers deal with the language and culture barriers abroad, and OAG migo Travel Disruptions Manager for managing delays and re-routing cancellations. The portal will also offer access to apps aimed at managing IT and finance issues, such as Oversight Systems for transaction insights and monitoring, and Ping Identity for single sign-on (SSO) and user provisioning.
Other recent Concur partnerships include applications to help companies reduce risk and comply with complex local and international regulations, such as Regulatory DataCorp (RDC) for intelligence and compliance with foreign corrupt practices act and other anti-bribery and anti-money laundering regulations, and BorderFile by Blackspark payroll compliance for travelers.
Earlier this month, Egencia, the business travel division of Expedia, announced a global partnership to make the process of expensing business travel more accurate for their mutual customers. Through Concur Open Booking, trips booked and managed by Egencia are automatically added to Concur Expense where the details automatically prepopulate the expense report. Itinerary details, e-receipts and credit card charges are all matched.
The Egencia and Concur Expense connected offering is available now in the United States and Canada as a certified application and will be made available to customers in the rest of the world later this year, the company said.
