AT&T Brings Its High-Speed Wireless Services to New York

For an unspecified limited time, customers can receive an unlimited voice calling plan for $99.99.

AT&T Wireless Services Inc. on Monday announced the launch of high-speed wireless services in the obviously lucrative metropolitan New York market.

New York customers will receive similar promotional deals to customers in other markets who already have access to the Redmond, Wash., companys GSM/GPRS (global standard for mobility/general packet radio service) network.

For an unspecified limited time, customers can receive an unlimited voice calling plan for $99.99 as well as several plans that include both voice and data.

This will include a new set of services for Research in Motion Ltd.s of BlackBerry pagers, offering unlimited BlackBerry e-mail and Web browsing for $49.99 per month.
