No doubt you are using some sort of business collaboration tool, perhaps even right now. If you utilize Box, Dropbox, Moxie, Salesforce Chatter, Microsoft Office 365, Skype, Outlook, SharePoint, Jive, or any of the other myriad brands out there, then you are using enterprise collaboration tools.

If you are not using any of these, chances are quite good that you will in due time.

More and more functionalties are being packed into cloud services like those noted above, so that users can meet up online and make decisions, offer opinions, delegate work and get things done.

In parallel to this are audio and video meetups, the genres of which are changing rapidly. The jury is still out on the quality of video meeting places like Google and Skype, because latency and video quality is still an issue in many enterprises.  On the other hand, old-school phone conference calls are still the mainstay of remote meeting among three or more people--largely because it is the main default way to do this.

Quality in concalls has been a historic problem, because standard services like FreeConferenceCall.com and others do not allow multiple people to speak at the same time--someone always gets silenced. New-gen provider Voxeet, for one, has solved that oroblem with its cloud app.

Talking points in the Oct. 8 eWEEKchat will include the following questions:

Q1:  Which online collab tools are you using now?  Do they do what you need them to do?

Q2:  What issues, if any, do you have with their functionality or accessibility?

Q3:  Are you concerned about the security of the online collab tools you use daily? Why or why not?

Q4:  If you could add a feature to your key online collab tool, what would it be?

Q5:  What is your take on online video meetings? Satisfied with performance of the app?

Q6:  Are phone conference calls a thing of the past?

Join us Oct. 8 for the discussion.
