SAS Takes Its Place Among World's Top Workplaces, Again
SAS announced that it has been named among the world's top workplaces by a national firm that judges such things. This year SAS is No. 2.CARY, N.C.–SAS Institute, a provider of business analytics software, has once again nabbed a top spot among the best places to work in the world. The business analytics specialist remains on the Top 25 World's Best Multinational Workplaces list from Great Place to Work, claiming the No. 2 spot, according to a study conducted by Great Place to Work. This marks the third year SAS has been on the list, underscoring the company's continued focus on creating a global work environment that inspires and energizes employees. SAS highlighted its position during a SAS Media Day event here. "Being on this list validates the hard work and effort SAS employees put into their jobs every day," SAS CEO Jim Goodnight, said in a statement. "We have a work environment that allows people to do their best without unnecessary distractions so that they can be more creative and productive. It's one way we ensure we are delivering innovative software solutions to our customers. SAS employees are inspired by the global impact of our products and the importance of their contributions, no matter what role they play or where they are located."
Last year, SAS ranked No. 1 on the World's Best Multinational Workplaces list and No. 2 on the U.S. list. So far in 2013, three SAS offices (in Greece, the Netherlands and Switzerland) have been ranked No. 1. SAS has also been among the top workplaces recognized by Great Place to Work in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Poland, and Portugal and Spain. In addition, it has been ranked No. 4 as a great place to work in Europe. The Great Place to Work Institute has recognized SAS many times since the organization was founded to identify companies that have created great workplaces.
