AT&T, Verizon Unveil 2 New LG Tablets
AT&T is offering its customers the LG G Pad F 8.0, while Verizon is offering the LG G Pad X8.3, with special deals if purchased with a new LG G4 phone.AT&T and Verizon Wireless customers can now add the latest LG tablet computers to their accounts: the LG G Pad F 8.0 on AT&T and the LG G Pad X8.3 on Verizon. AT&T's LG G Pad F 8.0 (pictured) has an 8-inch HD+ In-Plane Switching (IPS) display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage of which 9.1GB is usable, support for up to 128GB of additional micro Secure Digital (SD) card storage, a 5-megapixel (MP) rear-facing auto-focus camera and a 4,200mAh Lithium-Ion battery that provides up to 9.5 hours of use on a charge. The tablet, which includes 4G LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, also has a 2MP front-facing camera and runs on the Android 5.0 operating system. The G Pad F 8.0's display is multitasking-capable, allowing users to work on and display two apps side-by-side with its Dual Window feature. The tablet also includes the LG QPair feature, which lets the device answer calls and reply to messages received on the user's compatible Android smartphone. Also included is a stylus that allows users to take notes directly on the display screen using applications such as QuickMemo, according to AT&T. Also included is a full-size USB port that supports productivity and storage devices, simplifying connectivity with other products.
The LG G Pad F 8.0 can be purchased in AT&T stores and on ATT.com for $0 down and $12.50 per month with an AT&T Tablet Installment plan, or for $149.99 under a two-year contract. Customers can add the LG G Pad F 8.0 to a new or existing Mobile Share Value plan for $10 per month, according to AT&T.
