CNN Launches New Political Campaign App Using CA Tools
People interested in following this—probably the wildest, most unpredictable—U.S. presidential campaign ever, now can do so in real time, thanks to a new mobile app built by CNN developers from scratch using key CA Technologies tools.
The CNN Politics app, built with CA's API management and mobile analytics software, tracks the latest polling, delegate, voting and fundraising data behind the 2016 race. The app features personalized alerts and notifications so users can analyze the data driving the political race, and is available only for iOS users from the iTunes App Store.

Aimed at All Levels of Political Interest"The app is designed for people who might be called 'political junkies,' and simply for those who want to know the latest on the campaigns, as well as people who just want to be politically intelligent on what's happening," Kapil Lohia, CA's vice president for product strategy, told eWEEK. "CNN is a trusted source for a great many people, and they're doing a good job covering this election from multiple angles. "The biggest advantage is that it offers you concise information wherever you are, in addition to engagements around events. As the election matures, we'll be refreshing the app to add new features," Lohia added.
The CNN app, launched April 28, is highly data-driven, featuring constant updates in campaign financing, polling and primary results serving as key metrics.
