There's a Need for Adobe Reader Even on a Smartwatch

Busy professionals are getting PDFs all the time. They're also checking their watch all the time. Adobe Reader could make viewing PDFs a little simpler for professionals. While the small screen wouldn't be ideal for long documents, it would work out nicely for shorter documents that can be glanced at quickly. Expect Adobe Reader to make an appearance on Apple Watch and to grab business users' attention.

Mileage Tracking Is Another Natural Need

One of the great things about a smartwatch is that it's always sitting on a person's wrist and traveling with them wherever they go. That's where Mileage Log+ comes in. TripIt Keeps Travel Information in One Spot

TripIt is a popular app that keeps a person's entire travel information in one spot. Apple Watch will hit the market in just a few weeks, and the iPhone maker has talked extensively about the kind of software experience consumers and enterprise users should expect in its brand new smartwatch. But to date, few companies have actually come forward to say what applications they're developing for Apple Watch. Part of the reason for software developers' silence is that, according to news reports, Apple has allowed some developers into a secret lab in Cupertino, Calif., where they can try out their apps on the smartwatch. But it's unclear just how many developers were actually allowed in the doors beyond Facebook and the Starwood hotel chain. So prospective Apple Watch buyers can only hope that developers will quickly jump on the bandwagon and release versions of popular apps for the smartwatch. This eWEEK slide show highlights some of the most popular and useful apps we would like to see running on Apple Watch when it launches. If even only some of the following apps come to Apple Watch, they would not only enhance its appeal, but perhaps even help jump-start sales of the device.
