Application Development: 13 Ways Symbian Can Maintain Its Smartphone OS Lead
As the Symbian Foundation held its annual developer event in London, it was clear that the foundation is looking at how it can maintain the market share lead it has with smartphones. The Symbian OS is the market leader, and it powers phones from Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola and others. However, competition from other platforms, most notably Android, but also Apple and RIM, presents a growing challenge to the Symbian Foundation and its leader Lee Williams.
