BlackBerry Passport smartphone users now have a choice over the exact style of Passport phone that they want to carry and use now that the original square-edged design is getting some competition from a rounded-edge model that will be offered exclusively by AT&T. The new rounded-edge design, which was unveiled by AT&T earlier in January, will only be sold by AT&T to U.S. customers, while the original square-edged version will be sold elsewhere around the world by BlackBerry and through Amazon.com in the U.S. The rounded-edge model was requested by AT&T as a unique design for its customers, according to BlackBerry. The original Passport smartphone was unveiled by BlackBerry in September 2014 and sold out within 6 hours of its announcement on BlackBerry's own Website and within 10 hours on Amazon.com. The launch date for the rounded-edge version of the Passport has not yet been announced. Both smartphones differ only in their external appearances, as they share the same internal components and features. The following slides describe their visual differences and technical similarities.
