BlackBerry 10, Z10, Apps Tailor-Made for the Enterprise

Prior to the launch of BlackBerry 10 at the end of January, BlackBerry launched a series of "Portathons," events that were designed to get Android developers to port their applications to the new operating system. That effort was successful, according to BlackBerry, and ensured that some of the more popular mobile applications in the wild made their way to the operating system. Looking around BlackBerry World, the company's answer to the Apple App Store and Google Play marketplace, it's not so clear that the best apps were delivered to the store. Some well-known applications are available in BlackBerry World. But customers trying to find the best apps to handle their needs are apt to find more to like in the Apple App Store and Google Play. It's perhaps the result of being the third-most-important operating system in the mobile space. Still, BlackBerry 10 will be a popular choice for enterprise customers. Naturally, BlackBerry customers are going to want to download some applications as soon as they break their Z10 out of the box.
