The $80 LG K3 smartphone has been added to the no-contract cellular phone lineups of Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile, offering a handset with a wide range of features at a budget price for cost-conscious consumers. The companies are the first U.S. carriers to launch the LG K3, which includes a 4.5-inch full wide VGA In-Plane Switching (IPS) touch-screen display, a Qualcomm 210 quad-core processor, front and rear cameras and more. The smartphone, which runs the Android Marshmallow 6.0 operating system, also works as a mobile hotspot on Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile accounts and can be used in Mexico with a Mexico calling plan, according to the companies. Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile are divisions of the Sprint Prepaid Group and operate on Sprint's networks. Both companies also offer unlimited music streaming to customers through certain music-streaming networks. In this slide show, eWEEK offers more information about the budget LG K3 for no-contract, prepaid smartphone users through Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
