With an aircraft-grade aluminum body and a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Huawei's latest GX8 smartphone, announced in early January at CES 2016, packs a lot of features into the $350 device. The display of the GX8 has a 2.5-degree, slightly-curved surface and is covered with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3, while its six speaker sound holes offer richer, louder and clearer audio, according to Huawei. The smartphone is also equipped with 2GB of memory, 16GB of on-board storage, a microSD slot for additional storage and it runs on the Android 5.1 operating system. The GX8 also includes a fingerprint security system and a long-lasting 3,000mAH battery for long life between charges. The unlocked handset is slated to sell for $349.99 and will be available in gold, gray or silver. The phone will be available for purchase through, select Best Buy stores, and later in the first quarter of 2016. Peruse this eWEEK slide show for more details about Huawei's latest smartphone.
