The latest XT2 rugged handheld enterprise computer from Janam Technologies now offers an optional Windows 10 IoT Mobile Enterprise operating system. The Windows 10 version of the XT2, priced from $1,395 to $2,145, is being positioned as an alternative to the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS that was loaded on the original version of the smartphone-like XT2. The Windows 10-equipped XT2 provides an intuitive experience for Windows users and is compatible with Windows enterprise data protection policies, including device management for multiple users, VPN configuration, advanced lockdown and full device wipe capabilities. The XT2, which can scan barcodes, capture images, perform Web searches, make voice phone calls and more, can be used in almost any kind of physical environment. The XT2, which debuted in April, is aimed at mobile workers in field service, retail, hospitality, transportation and logistics, and other lines of work. Peruse this eWEEK slide show for more information on the Janam XT2 with Windows IoT.
