Lenovo opened its Lenovo Tech World event in Beijing with a raft of product announcements, including a Cast streaming video hub, a new business-aimed ThinkPad tablet, several consumer-targeted laptops and two new data storage appliances for business users. The $49 Lenovo Cast video streaming device lets users deliver content wirelessly from Android, Windows and iOS devices to a big-screen television. Lenovo's latest business tablet, the ThinkPad Tablet 10, lets users add accessories such as a clip-on keyboard whenever needed so they can configure the device to meet their needs at the time, while the new Z41 and Z51 multimedia consumer workstation laptops offer power, features and broad multimedia capabilities. For users on a tight budget, the less expensive Ideapad 100 laptop promises the basics for users who don't need all the bells and whistles of a fully equipped machine. The new Storage S2200 and S3200 storage arrays are aimed at helping small and midsize businesses (SMBs) simplify and centralize their data storage requirements.
