LG G Stylo Smartphone Offers a Stylus, Big Display and More

The recently unveiled LG G Stylo smartphone has something not typically found in handsets under $300—a built-in stylus that lets users draw, write, create and capture their scribblings, using the phone's display. That certainly sets the Stylo apart in a field of mid-priced smartphones, especially because phones that typically include a stylus, like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, can cost another $500 over the price of the Stylo. And the Stylo's features don't end there. Also included is a large 5.7-inch HD In-Plane Switching (IPS) display that's covered with protective and durable Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera with laser auto-focus and an LG "Knock Code" capability that lets users set up a personalized knock sequence to easily wake and unlock their phones. Running on Android 5.0, the Stylo can be purchased as a no-contract phone from Boost Mobile or Sprint or on a contract with Sprint. The GSM-compatible handset is a 4G LTE phone that also includes WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities. Explore the Stylo in this eWEEK slide show.
