With a first-ever luxury smartwatch, an all-new rollable keyboard for mobile devices and innovative smart sensors that can let almost any household appliance "talk" to a smartphone or tablet, consumer products company LG Electronics is unveiling some interesting new devices before the December holidays. The LG Watch Urbane Luxe, which LG will release in October, is a limited-edition premium timepiece that will be limited to 500 copies. The 23-karat gold watch will sport a watchband made from alligator hides and be sold through Reeds Jewelers in the United States for $1,195. The company's Rolly wireless portable keyboard can be rolled up into a four-row portable stick that can be easily carried in its case in a handbag, briefcase or backpack for tablet users on the go. Meanwhile, LG's latest smart home technology, the SmartThinQ Sensor, can be attached to many traditional home appliances, such as washing machines or refrigerators, where they can sense feedback including vibration and temperature that can then be sent to an app on a user's smartphone. In this slide show, eWEEK takes a closer look at LG's three new products.
