The Amazon Fire Phone, announced earlier this year and now available, is of interest to many users. The device is a well-designed product with some great features, like Firefly, which allows users to have a bit more intelligence about the things around them. The Fire Phone's design is generally attractive, featuring a black finish, a crystal-clear screen and an ultra slim footprint. The phone's 4.7-inch display bests the iPhone 5S' 4-inch screen, which is convincing some AT&T customers to choose Amazon's handset over Apple's. But while most of the attention is on the hardware, it's the software that will ultimately determine how well the Fire Phone sells. Amazon has some nice applications for its phones, but it's the third-party apps sold through the company's Appstore that will likely add the most value to the smartphone. After all, the more compelling apps that are available for the handset, the better for buyers and Amazon. This slide show highlights some of the most popular applications in the Amazon Appstore and perhaps provides some insights on how people will use their new Fire Phones.
