Samsung's New Galaxy Note Has 'Edge' on the Competition

Samsung's new Galaxy Note Edge smartphone has something its competitors don't yet have—an innovative curved screen around the right edge that allows users to get their notifications off their main device screens. What that does is provide an extra bit of screen real estate for the stuff users really want to view. That's the biggest distinction between the Galaxy Note Edge and its brother, the Galaxy Note 4, which doesn't have the curved edge but shares much of the basic technology. The new Note Edge will hit the retail market on Nov. 14 from all the major wireless carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular. Pricing varies between the carriers, with AT&T offering the new smartphone for $399.99 with a two-year agreement, $945.99 without a contract or for various rates under their monthly installment plans. Sprint and T-Mobile are also offering installment plans. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is built around an impressive package of features (highlighted in this slide show) that present an in-depth look at what's inside the Galaxy Note Edge.
