Sony's two latest Xperia midrange 4G LTE smartphones are being released later in August, featuring built-in cameras that aim to give users higher-quality images and wider photographic options. The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra is built around twin 13-megapixel cameras front and rear, while its waterproof sibling, the Xperia M5, sports a 21.5MP main rear-facing camera that includes hybrid auto-focus, a 5X zoom and 4K video capabilities. Both 13MP cameras in the Xperia C5 Ultra include Sony's leading Exmor RS sensor, high-definition HDR for photos and videos, and a preset automatic scene recognition mode that analyzes and adjusts settings automatically for better photos. The new Xperia M5 will have an even more powerful rear-facing camera, a 21.5MP unit that also includes a 5X zoom, bringing the features of a quality point-and-shoot camera to a smartphone. Also included in the Xperia M5 is a 13MP selfie cam, which features integrated auto-focus and full-HD video recording capabilities. Both smartphones are available in either single or dual SIM models. Prices have not yet been announced. The following slides take a look at both new Sony smartphones.
