Timex Metropolitan+ Fashion Watch Tracks Wearer's Activities

Timex has melded a traditional-looking analog watch for men with an activity tracker app that brings together fashion and function for less than $150. The new Timex Metropolitan+ incorporates the look and feel of a traditional analog watch because it is an analog watch, without a digital display, while being able to track activities using an app that is compatible with Android or iOS smartphones. The Metropolitan+ is the first product in Timex's latest Connected Style Collection of watches, according to the company. Using Bluetooth, the watch connects with a user's smartphone to track daily activities, including steps, distance and calories burned—with no charging required. The user's activity statistics can be viewed on the watch dial with a glance to see how the user is tracking toward his or her goals. The phone app stores the user's data so it can be reviewed later. The Metropolitan+ sells for $125 in a silver finish with a black leather strap, or for $150 with a black finish and interchangeable black silicone and orange nylon straps.
