The mobile payment market is expected to heat up steadily in the coming months and year.  Several market researchers say that mobile wallet usage will begin to take hold this year and surge in the next several years as more people get mobile devices that are capable of making touchless payments, doing away with the need to take plastic credit cards out of users' wallets. The growth in mobile wallets is perhaps best exemplified in the sheer number of new entrants into the market, including Google's Android Pay and Samsung Pay. MasterCard, PayPal and some of the world's largest merchants are looking for ways to enter the mobile payment space.
