Networking, Security, IoE Take the Stage at Cisco Live 2015

It's been a busy few weeks for Cisco Systems, with much of the headlines focusing on the rapid changes going on at the executive level. In early May, John Chambers, the company's CEO for the past two decades, announced he will be stepping down July 26 and handing the reins over to Chuck Robbins, currently senior vice president of worldwide operations at Cisco. There were a number of candidates—both in-house and from outside the company—and the choice of Robbins surprised some industry observers. Robbins moved quickly to form his new executive leadership team, and several high-profile officials—such as Rob Lloyd, president of development and sales, and CTO Padmasree Warrior—said they plan to leave the company. However, this week, with the Cisco Live 2015 show, talk returned to what company executives like best—technology, including cloud computing, security, networking, collaboration, developers and the Internet of everything (IoE). This eWEEK slide show displays some of the highlights from the five-day show. (Images courtesy of Cisco.)
