Initial Set-Up

An initial set-up wizard walks users through the set-up procedure—adding users and departments, defining permissions and roles, coordinating network scanning, selecting authority documents and offering a quick tour of TraceCSO. Users can exit and return to this set-up at any time.

TraceSecurity has been involved in the governance, risk and compliance, or GRC, market for some time and has translated that expertise into a hosted service called TraceCSO (TraceCLoudSecurityOfficer). The hosted service includes all the elements needed to bring simplicity to the GRC process, while providing a platform that brings accountability into the process. While features such as penetration testing, auditing and compliance scanning are important elements of a GRC service, TraceCSO goes much further and includes modules that encourage and track training for IT staff, bringing an additional level of accountability to the GRC process. Compliance is all about checking boxes, gathering signatures and validating controls, all of which are things that TraceCSO accomplishes with ease. Other primary capabilities include policy definition, graphical reporting and management dashboards that give “at a glance” views into the security and compliance posturing of an enterprise network. Ease of use permeates TraceCSO, allowing even the smallest of businesses to benefit from a GRC application, which requires no additional investments, other than a yearly subscription fee.
