Planning for IT Continuity

Anthony Jones, CTO, of the City of New Orleans, gives a first-hand account of disaster recovery planning in action, from someone who went through one of the greatest natural disasters to hit the U.S., Hurricane Katrina. Jones tells eWeek Editor at Large Eric Lundquist in this interview how planning can help keep the IT network up when disaster strikes and resources are slim. The lessons: Work smarter, faster and stronger; do more with less, be smarter with processes, and automate manual processes as possible.
